Vintage Louis Vuitton steamer trunk is marked with characteristic "LV" stamp on leather throughout and on tacks. Original locks and handles are also marked. Metal banding around trunk is also marked "LV". Sides of trunk are marked with "19" and a "B" monogram in a diamond. The "B" denotes a previous owner, Robert Bacon who was the ambassador to France under Theodore Roosevelt. The interior of the trunk has a Louis Vuitton label as well as a model number 182818. The top is padded in fabric and has ribbon lattice across the top with bronze or copper tacks. It is apprx 27-1/2" H x 24" D x 43-1/2" W.
