122. Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (French, 1864-1901)

Five lithographed images of Yvette Guilbert from the Paris cafe concerts of the late 1890's. Lautrec was fascinated by Guilbert. She was famous for her off color, spoken songs, emphasizing the language with expressive movements of her arms, which were always in full length black gloves. Paper size apprx 15" x 11", images sizes apprx 12-7/8" x 8-1/8". Lithograph plate from "Les Affiches de Toulouse-Lautrec" series. Printed by Mourlot Freres, Paris, ca. 1960.
