| 530. Walter A. Sinz (American, 1881-1966)
A Plaster sculpture of a King holding a scepter and book, reverse of base inscribed "W.A. Sinz '29". Plaster has applied pigment of bronze color. Sculpture wire sticking out of back. Sinz was also a member of the "Cleveland School". Sinz created the relief of a Native American carrying a canoe through the Portage, an eight mile passage between the Cuyahoga and Tuscarawas Rivers, located in Akron, Ohio. He was also selected in 1929 to design the Thompson Trophy for the National Air Races. Apprx 16-1/2" tall. 100/200 Sold $109.25 back to catalog |
