"Mountain Man". A life sized cast bronze figure after Frederic Remington (1861-1909), showing a man on horseback going down a steep incline, signed and dated 1903. This has been installed in an outdoor garden in salt air for apprx twenty years, giving this piece a wonderful green patina. Apprx 76" T, nose to tail apprx 55", base diameter apprx 25". The lasso, whip and reins are probably an iron composition as the have a red rust color to them. Signed on base at lower right.
