564. Chelsea House Nymphenburg Tureen

Large Nymphenburg tureen with matching plate from the Campbell Collection of Soup Tureens at Winterthur. This is a reproduction of a magnificent tureen and stand that was made in Germany between 1760 and 1765 at the Nymphenburg factory. The rounded oval body with molded panels sits on elegant feet. The finial on the lid is in the shape of a cut lemon. This set represents the best of porcelain tableware made in the rococo style of the 18th century. This is number 177/500.
