764. "The Death of Napoleon" Double Engravings
Pair of black and white engravings depict the death of Napoleon. In both images the ruler is shown upon his deathbed with a crowd of mourners. Inscription on one image is in French. This piece measures apprx 4" H x 5" W, without frame. With frame, size is apprx 6-3/4" H x 7-3/4" W. The second image in this grouping measures apprx 4-1/2" H x 3" W. With frame this piece measures apprx 7-1/2" H x 6" W.

765. "L'Inspection" Hand Colored Drawing, ca. 19th Century
Hand-colored drawing is entitled "L'Inspection" or, "The Inspection". This drawing depicts Napoleon I standing before his troops. The title is located in the lower center area of the page. Paper size is apprx 6" H x 8-3/4" W. Drawing is enclosed in a green silk mat. With mat and frame this piece measures apprx 11" H x 13-1/2" W.

Treuttel and Wurtz, Treuttel, Jun. And Richter: London, 1825. Two 8" tall volumes with a map and five engravings. 3/4 burgandy leather with like color cloth. Spines have raised bands with fine tooling piqued in gilt. Black leather inserted title band. Top edge of paper is gilt. Map is engraving onto water marked, wove paper.

Two volumes with two engraved portrait frontispieces and folding map. 3/4 blue leather with cloth boards. Bound by Bayntun Binder, Bath England. Spine has raised banding with Napoleonic insignias piqued in gilt. Top paper edges also gilt. Internally clean however slightly toned.

Pair of printed portraits depicting Napoleon in various styles of dress. The first portrait is marked "LeFevre". The bust of Napoleon is joined by the image of a star and an eagle. The second portrait is simply marked "Napoleon". This image was published for Henry Colburn on November 17, 1835. Each portrait measures apprx 6-1/4" H x 4" W. With mat and red lacquer frames these portraits measure apprx 9" H x 6-1/2" W.
