Three export rice bowls made from Canton ware are dated from apprx the second half of the 19th Century. Two of the Canton rice bowl measures apprx 2-1/4" in diameter and the third measures apprx 4-1/2" in diameter. Each bowl features a traditional Canton design in blue and white glazes.

This lidded vegetable dish made from Canton ware has a hexagonal shape and dates from the second half of the 19th Century. This dish features a traditional Canton design on interior of bowl and lid. Floral sprays decorate each exterior side of the bowl. The top of the lid and interior of the bowl are accented with a traditional star border. The lid features a scarab finial. With lid this dish measures apprx 5" H x 8" W.

Chinese export porcelain lidded sauce tureen is dated ca. 1800. This blue and white Canton tureen features traditional Chinese designs of pagodas, mountains, trees and bridges. Buffalo head handles are located on both right and left sides with a squash stem finial on lid. Original sales sticker on verso indicates a date of 1750, however the true date of this piece has been thought to be later. Overall size is apprx 6" H x 7-1/2" W.

A round blue and white Canton pitcher features the traditional star border, feather decorated handles and with grooved spout. This particular spout was useful for slow-pouring maple syrup, honey or molasses. The form of this pitcher was particularly popular in New England. This pitcher measures apprx 3-1/4" H x 5-1/2" W.

The cheroot tray is an extremely rare form in Chinese export porcelain. The cherrot was the predecessor to the cigar and this vessel is the precursor to the modern ashtray. Crated in the shape of a tobacco leaf this tray has a large groove which was used to support the cheroot. Decorated in the traditional blue and white Canton pattern with star border, this piece dates ca. 1850. Provenance: ex. James Galley, Inc. Overall size is apprx 1-1/2" H x 7-3/4" W.
