Large carved ivory figure has a burnt finish. This is a rendition of an old Japanese woman. She is dressed in a traditional kimono and carries a small bouquet of flowers in one hand and a container with flower accents in the other. Attached to a simply carved wooden base this figure measures apprx 13-1/2" H x 3-1/4" W.

Grouping of containers and jarlets, date from the Ming Dynasty. All containers and vessels have a neutral cream background with blue glaze designs. Two larger vessels have lids, one with a Swatlow design. These pieces range in size from apprx 1-1/2" H x 2" W to 7" H x 6" W.

701. 19th Century "Rouge de Fer" Porcelain Dishes


This pair of 19th Century Chinese porcelain shell dishes have a "rouge de fer" design on the exterior. "Rouge de fer" is an under-glaze ground, in which the color was derived from iron. Overglaze enamels were used for decoration, such as the greens, the yellows, and the reds. Each dish comes with a carved wooden stand. Apprx size is 3-1/2" H x 7-1/4" W. Both dishes are signed with Chinese characters on verso.

This impressive lidded urn features an over design of green, pink and gold scrolls and flowers with various vignettes depicting exotic flowers, birds and butterflies. The domed lid is topped by a green and red dragon finial. With lid this urn measures apprx 28" H x 17" W. The urn comes with a carved wooden base measuring apprx 7" H x 17" W.
