The first hand written letter is by John A. Logan to Mr. Bingham about the up-coming election, dated August 2nd, 1884, written on U.S. Senate letterhead. Apprx 9-1/2" x 7-1/2". The second hand written letter is by Charles Foster to the same Mr. Bingham about the current congressional situation and one worthy diplomat. Dated July 20th, 1874. Apprx 10" x 8". Also included is a National republican Ticket with the name of Mr. John A. Logan running for Vice President along side of James G. Blaine.

Originally in a book, this parchment with fine script is tipped into a thicker sheet with overall gilt outlining of plants and animals including rabbits, birds, fish and deer. Lower portion has two monstrous animals. Colored in a light pink tone. Text in two columns, divided with a blue bar, decorated with a gold cartouche and white and gold flowers. Bordered with eight colors. Verso same with two dividers. Overall appx 11-1/8" x 7-3/8".

This group of three manuscripts includes two miscellaneous pages and one leaf from the Shah-Nameh of the Firdusi. Text is in Persian with four columns of Nasta Liq script and is dated ca. 18th century. All pages are very similar with blue and green borders and black and red text. Each leaf measures apprx 14-3/4" H x 10" W.

Group of miscellaneous manuscript pages includes one with horizontal bands of text on blue paper, measuring apprx 8" H x 5-1/4" W. Second leaf is apprx ca. 19th Century. Measures apprx 12-3/4" H x 8" W. The next leaf is from an anonymous "Life of Mohammed". On polished paper with twenty-one lines of Nasta Liq script. This Kashmir leaf is dated ca. 19th Century and measures apprx 14" H x 8" W. The last leaf is an unknown leaf with numerous lines of script. Measures apprx 14" H x 14" W.
