An unusual carved mask, also from the Ivory coast. Mandibles protrude at mouth and they are painted in white and red. Open carved eyes, and crest at top. Apprx 13-1/2" x 12"W.

Arts and crafts style wooden bucket has been hand painted with dancing Dutch girls, hearts, blue birds and flowers. Simple handle has been painted with red swirls. All hardware is comprised of metal staples. This bucket is dated ca. 1920 and measures apprx 14-1/2" H x 15" W.

430. An Ornate Carved Shaving Mirror, ca. 19th Century
Open carved woodwork in a easel frame, free standing with beveled mirror. Hinged panels with ovals have portraits of peasants with tasks. hinged base pulls forward revealing an oval portrait of a young woman. below ifs the name "Ricordo". Elaborate crest also with small oval portrait. When doors are open, two more portraits with mirror with fine mosaic border. Apprx 17"T x 7" closed, 14" open.

434. Hand Carved Cherub Element, ca. 18th Century
Carved from a solid pice of wood, this cherub has an old varnish with a crystalized patina overall. Old worm holes throughout. Throughly carved on all sides. Two holes are on shoulders where wings would have been inserted. Two holes on back side for attachement to main structure, one of which has been filled. Apprx 12-1/2"L, head to toe.

435. A Petitpoint Bell Pull, ca. Mid 19th Century
Colorful wool petitpoint of pink flowers and buds, possibly poppies. Stitched on a camel colored field of intertwined wool and metal thread on a cotton weft. Edges finished in an olive green metal thread, backed with caramel colored silk. Brass end designed with fern shoots. Apprx 5'4"L x 5-3/4"W. (From the same estate collection as the 16th Century tapestry fireplace screen.)
