1. Egypt, 18th Dynasty, ca. 1539-1293 B.C.
A funerary cone with complete inscription on four columns. During the 11th Dynasty (2130-1990 B.C.) in Necropolis of Thebes, it was customary to decorate the upper part of the front of tombs with two or more rows of cones placed side by side in the ground, the points facing the interior, with the ends being for the most part circular. These cones were fired and tend to be quite rough and have a brown or reddish-brown color, having a maximum length of 30cm and a diameter between 6 and 10cm.

4. A Large Egyptian Sarcophagus Panel
A large plank of probably cypress wood, covered with a sand mixture-gesso with applied dark pigment. Human form standing with Horus surmounting, outlined with yellow paint and detailed with red pigment. Three wood pegs run vertically at left margin. Apprx 50" H x 10" W x1-1/2" D.

Scarab is set into marked Mid-Eastern sterling frame which has bright cut design and ankh at crest, the symbolic representation of both physical and eternal life. Base is set with a cabachon blue stone with white veining. Verso has hieroglyphs. Overall apprx 2" x 1-3/4".

Grouping of terracotta items includes a lid from a jar, a sculpture of a head and a marker. The lid is marked with the number Vs2290. The head is marked with a sticker on the verso reading "L9008". Lid measures apprx 3-3/4", head measures apprx 4"H x 3-1/2"W and marker measures apprx 3-1/4"H x 2"W.

A small fragment of a document written on papyrus in a semi-uncial script. Two words are complete, "Land" and "Neither". Fragment apprx 1-6/8" x 1-6/8", overall in frame apprx 3-1/2" x 4-1/4".

10. Pair of Hand-Painted Bowls, ca. Pre-Columbian
Pair of hand-painted bowls in terracotta. The first bowl has a band of white with geometric organic shapes in black, dark red and yellow. This measures apprx 3"H x 6-1/2"W. The second larger bowl has a design of vertical lines and white circles with black dots inside, over a red pigment. This measures apprx 4-3/4"H x 5"W. These are very nice examples of painting style for this period.
