An early study of a landscape. Oil wash on paper board in the topographical tradition. Numbered "#2", dated "24th May, 1796" and inscribed on the verso in graphite and ink. Originally purchased from a private collection in England by the owner, apprx 30 years ago. Apprx 7-3/8" x 10-7/16". Unframed.
