| 420. Theatre Guignol by Franz Gobbi
Paper diorama depicts the infamous Theatre Guignol. This theatre was founded by Oscar Metenier, a playwright of the naturalist movement, in 1897. Two puppets are shown, fighting with clubs. The Guignol was most well-known for its grisley repertoire. Paper spectators are adhered to the glass frame. The lower right corner is marked Gobbi.
