This pair of hand-colored prints includes one colored etching by French artist Jean Hugard, ca. 1923. Second print is a colored mezzotint, painted by W.R. Bigg and engraved by John Jones. Etching is entitled "Interior with Three Women". This etching depicts a candle-lit interior with three women performing various domestic tasks. Signed "Hugard" in lower right. Measures apprx 27" H x 30" W. Mezzotint is entitled "Black Monday, or the Departure for School." This piece features a family preparing their youngsters to leave for school. With frame, this piece measures apprx 25" H x 30" W.
