| 701. 19th Century "Rouge de Fer" Porcelain Dishes
This pair of 19th Century Chinese porcelain shell dishes have a "rouge de fer" design on the exterior. "Rouge de fer" is an under-glaze ground, in which the color was derived from iron. Overglaze enamels were used for decoration, such as the greens, the yellows, and the reds. Each dish comes with a carved wooden stand. Apprx size is 3-1/2" H x 7-1/4" W.
