Miniature portrait of Henrietta Hay. Oil portrait painted June 1848 by J. Mills of Portsmouth Terrace, Kennington Lane. Set into a gilt brass oval over mat in a velvet lined case with hinged cover and clasps. Probably painted on ivory. Image apprx 2-1/2" x 2", overall in case apprx 4-1/2" x 4" x 1/2".
