Child's sewing sampler features a scene of a house and a lake at center, two figures and a pair of tiny butterflies and birds, surrounded by a wide border of flowers. The name Frances Mason is embroidered in the center and dated 1848. Measures 19-1/2"W x 18-3/4"L. With wooden frame, measures 20"W x 20-3/4"L.

"Forget Me Not". Framed under glass. Very pretty stitching sample of flowers and the motto on punched board. Particularly rare, as mottos featured usually read "home sweet home". Brown stitches are accented with brown beads. Board measures apprx 7-1/2"W x 15-1/2"L. With gold lined wood frame, entire item measures apprx 10"W x 18-1/2"L.

Unique stitching sampler meditating on the death of Jesus. The crucified Christ is shown in the center framed by sacred hearts. Border is of multicolored grape clusters on a light green vine. Also depicted are crosses, urns and Dutch words. Angles bear the words "atonement of Christ". Size of fabric is apprx 20-1/2"W x 28-1/4"L. Verso bears tag Joh. Gerritsen. With simple wooden frame, entire item measures apprx 22-3/4"W x 30-1/2"L.

Very handsome brass bin probably used to store wood or coal. Bin is hand-hammered with cast feet. Design on both sides is a decorative crest of a double headed eagle holding a ball and sword in his talons. Framing the bird is a row of large raised dots. Ring handles hang from lion's mouths. Apprx 24-1/2"H x 17-1/4"W.

Fabulous pair of matching bronze planters. Items feature three fearsome, one-legged Griffins encircling the intricate base of the dish-shaped planter. Bottom of planter is gadrooned and rests on curls that appear to be supported by the Griffins' heads. Base has three petals on which the Griffins stand. Measures apprx 24-1/2"H and 17"D.

This plaque is of a pink rose with green stem against a black background. Measures apprx 4"W x 6"L. With fancy carved wooden painted gold frame entire piece measures apprx 6"W x 8"L.
