Commemorative stamp describes "Acoma Pueblo in New Mexico is is known for exceptionally thin-walled pottery decorated with complex geometric designs..." Coil pots are hand built from local red clay, and painted with ground mineral glazes applied with yucca brush. Bottom bears signature G. Lewis and reads Acoma N. Mex.
