Durable unglazed stoneware. This pale cobalt blue, jasper vase is decorated with a crisp, white bas-relief of a classical subject. Vase sits on a round foot and flares out at rim. Bottom is impressed with "Wedgwood, Made in England, 74". Item measures 7-1/2"H and 5-1/4"D, at rim.

This pale cobalt blue jasper vase is decorated with a crisp, white bas-relief of a classical subject. Floral swags frame muses. Vase sits on a round foot and flares out at rim. Bottom is impressed with "Wedgwood, Made in England, 78" (referring to the year). Item measures 6"H and 4-3/4"D at rim.

336. Delft Lidded Ginger Jar
Large jar with a hat-shaped lid features, hand-painting and blue and white colors typical of Delft. On cartouches are individual bouquets, and background of vase has overall scrolling foliate patterns. Bulbous body is decorated with gadrooning. Finial is in the form of a small beast, perhaps a lion or a dog. Bottom reads: For Royal Sphinx made by Boch, Delfts. Measures apprx 18"H and 10"W.

337. Handmade Acoma Pueblo Pottery, American, circa 20th Century
Small pot in the tradition of acclaimed New Mexican potter, Lucy Martin Lewis. Commemorative stamp describes "Acoma Pueblo in New Mexico is is known for exceptionally thin-walled pottery decorated with complex geometric designs..." Coil pots are hand built from local red clay, and painted with ground mineral glazes applied with yucca brush. Bottom bears signature G. Lewis and reads Acoma N. Mex. Pot stands apprx 3-1/2"H and 4" at widest point.

338. Mexican Vase with Handle
Double opening vase. Bulb base branches in "V" shape, the arms are linked by a rounded handle. Form is traditional (Mexican folk art) but embellishment in matte black paint, a stylized flower, looks Art Deco. Vase is made from burnished earthenware. Similar in style to "Black pottery" of Dona Rosa Real de Nieto (active 1935-1980). Measures apprx 8-1/4"H by 7-1/4"W.

Thickly glazed porcelain milk pitcher. Overall background color is black. Hand painted with Orientalist scene of bamboo leaves and crane standing in a marsh, as well as abstract, patterned designs decorated with raised embellishments. Made to resemble oriental lacquerware. Bottom reads Palm, Rd.No. 140614, Made in England and painters mark in turquoise. Measures apprx 7-1/2" x 4-1/2" in diameter at base.

Single handled K.P.M. porcelain bowl. Bowl has loose, abstract form with some ridging to edges. Exterior of bowl is a dusty pink, interior is a robins egg blue fading to white. On interior bottom are hand painted yellow roses. Bottom bears a faint Made in Germany 278 stamp as well as blue KPM. Measures apprx 4"H X 10"L X 8"W.

Very pretty lidded jar. Exterior has light blue background with transfer design of Chrysanthemums. Lip is wavy and rimed with gilt, just below is a flower garland. Lid and finial are lightly ridged. Base flares out. Bottom has a raised eight pointed star-burst. Measures apprx 5-1/2"H X 4-1/2"D.

Blue and white porcelain dish. Center is painted underglaze over a basic transfer printed design, with a triple border of stars, rope and trefoil design, transfer printed. Well-worn honey guilded edge. These wares were produced in Liverpool and Staffordshire to compete with the so-called Chinese export wares decorated in Canton and Nanking. Measures apprx 1-1/2"H x 81/2"D.

Set of two luster cream jugs. Design is of embossed putti playing and picking grapes. Background and detailing on handle and foot are dark silver luster. Bottom half is gadrooned. Bottoms bear green Wedgwood stamp as well as silver artist initails. Lot includes a larger pitcher measuring apprx 7-1/2"H x 3-1/2"W, and a matching smaller one apprx 6-1/4"H x 3-1/4"W.
