586. Lot of Freedom Medals and Great Flags of America, American, circa 1973 Lot includes a case of thirty-nine collectable gold plated coins and forty two sterling silver collectable Mini-Ingots. The round "Freedom Medals" are coins "symbolizing the words that inspired the American Revolution". They come in a dark blue viewing case from Royal Mint and with an explanatory book and Certificate of Authenticity. Coins are apprx 1-1/2" in diameter. The Mini-Ingots are a "unique tribute to the historical development of the United States of America". They are tiny etched flags with explanatory notes on the back. They come in a wooden collectables box and with a reference book, handling gloves and a certificate of authenticity from the Franklin Mint. 591. Fertility Mask from Western Guinea Large wooden shoulder-mask called "Nimba". A fertility mask, it is invoked during the rice harvesting or by women, both pregnant and not, soliciting help and protection. Stands on four legs and bears attributes of the Guinea women such as long ringed neck decoration. Carries flakes of silver color and ornament of flat metal on exterior.
