Plaque hand craved from fruitwood. Subject is of Medieval St. George, slaying a dragon. Medium relief carving with Greek lettering in top banner. Has decorative ink work and applied red and green paint. Background is scaled. Measures apprx 7-1/4" x 11".

Wooden hat form. Would have been used as a tool for hat makers or else a hat stand. Form is door-knobbed shaped. Made in five parts. Center and base have pegs for other four pieces to fit onto. O marks on pieces help designate where each piece fits. Pasted inside side pieces are fragments of old newspaper and drawings. Base marked with word "back" and numbers 22, 53, 82 and the company name: Capitol Hatologe, N.Y. Measures apprx 9"H x 8"W.

A pretty decorative gilt frame. Features harp playing putti sitting above a shell pattern and leads down to architectural sides and footed base; Rococco in aesthetic. Features a easel sand. Verso stamped JM4. Picture opening measures apprx 3-1/2"W 4-3/4"L. Entire item measures apprx 6-3/4"W x 12-3/4"L.

A regal pairing of military grab. The style of hat would have belonged to a a Colonial Naval Officer circa 1850. It is made from black velvet with a fancy button and ribbon design on front. Crest is lined with curly black ostridge feathers. Inside has leather brim-band and satin lining. It is a size seven and was made for John Nicholas Heltzel by The Lilley Ames Co. in Columbus. It measures apprx 15". The hat comes in a brown leather hat box with bears the name of its owner as well as a leather fastening strap and carrying handle. The sword has a black and gold sheath with the design of an oak leaf. The handle is gold and ivory embellished with a gold tassel. Made by the Lilley Ames Co. Measures apprx 33" long.

Polished brass with clear glass inkwell. Smooth crystal inkwell with a brass hinged lid, apprx 1-14/15"W x 1-2/3"H. Fitted into raised square band holder. Tray is apprx 4-4/15"W x 8-2/15"L x 1/2"D with inward sloping walls. Bottom is marked with school hallmark KSIA, Keswick set in a rectangle, and date denoted by C67 (the year and job number). The design subscribes to the sleek lines and stylization of the Arts and Crafts aesthetic.

A fabulous pair of matching centerpieces. Bold metal formations with eight curved armatures to hold candles or flowers sprout out of sphere center. Peaked top and open bowl near base for flowers or fruit. Stands upon urn-like base with a square foundation. Each stands aprx 41-1/2" tall and 25-1/2" wide. Applied verdegris finish. Can disassemble for transportation.
