289. A Fine KPM Porcelain Plaque (German, circa Late 19th Century)
Very finely hand-painted porcelain plaque, German, circa 1892. Image depicted is a tender scene of the Madonna and Child. Verso has KPM marks, a retailer sticker from Thallmaier, "Bought in Munich, Aug 1892, L.F.C" written in pencil. Plaque measures apprx 7-1/2"W x 10"L. Frame is ornately carved and gilt. Overall with frame apprx 18-1/2" W x 21-1/4"L.

290. A Fine KPM Porcelain Plaque (German, circa Late 19th Century)
"Cupid with a Butterfly", German, circa 1892. An exceptionally charming hand-painted porcelain plaque. Image depicts a rosey-cheeked cupid pulling a butterfly off of his arm. A garden fountain serves as his seat and his quiver of arrows lies near by. Verso has KPM mark, a sticker with the number 1797, "Munich, Aug 1892" and "after Bouguereau" (referring to the original 1888 painting by William-Adolphe Bouguereau,)" written in pencil. Plaque measures apprx 6-1/2"W x 9-1/2"L. Frame is ornately carved and gilt. Overall with frame apprx 17"W x 20-1/2"L.

291. KPM Porcelain Portrait Plaque by Josef Ahne (German, circa Late 19th Century)
Charming full-length portrait of an elegant young woman. She wears a diadem and formal outfit trimmed in gold. She is situated in a classical landscape complete with rustic gate, fluted doric colomns and a misty background. Signed "Ahne" on lower left corner. On verso is KPM mark, triangle with two dots, "H", and the numbers 330, 200. Also with a sticker that reads "Germany" and "Jacob" written in pencil. Plaque apprx 7-3/4"W x 12-3/4"L , overall with frame apprx 15-1/4"W x 20-1/2"L. Ornate gilt frame with carved floral swags at top and red velvet mat.

292. Capodimonte Plaque (Italian, late 19th/early 20th Century)
Hand painted low relief porcelain plaque. Classical scene depicts mischievous Pan erecting an idol to him self with the assistance of three nymphs. Swirling garments and background drape infuse the piece with much energy and movement. Colors are brilliant due to high firing temperatures. Measures apprx 12"W x 9-1/2"L. Dark red velvet frame with inward sloping walls. Entire item measures apprx 16-1/4"W x 13-1/2"L.

293. Royal Dux Bohemia Porcelain Carriage (Czechoslovakia, 20th Century)
Large scale porcelain figural from the Royal Dux porcelain company. A young woman stands inside a traveling booth while two stately young men in tricorn caps wait to carry her. The figures stand on a oval base resting on four scrolling feet. Decorated overall with cobalt blue glaze and gilt highlights. Bottom has green "Made in Czechoslovakia" stamp, the Royal Dux Bohemia seal in the signature pink ceramic triangle with acorn and letter "E" as well as the number "1970". Piece measures apprx 14-1/2" x 13" x 7". One of the first porcelain factories was established in Duchov (Dux) and founded in 1853. The factory first produced utility ceramics then later began to manufacture terra cotta, faience, and majolica items. The factory has been using its traditional trademark made since 1900 . The embossed pink triangle with relief. The rose color in the form of a triangle with the words Royal Dux Bohemia with an acorn in the middle. The triangle with an E signifies a piece made before World War II.

294. A Pair of Royal Vienna Covered Urns (circa Late 19th/Early 20th Century)
Porcelain Urns comprised of three connected parts plus lid: Square base, fluted pedestal and handled urn. Mythological figures and decorations are stenciled with hand painting and gilt decoration. Both have four bolt holes on bottom, perhaps as evidence that they were originally attached to another base. Royal Vienna "beehive" symbol seen on both bottoms. Both urns stand at apprx 12-1/2"H x 8"W.

295. A Monumental Pair of Majolica Urns (circa 19th Century)
Hand painted urns has scenes of peasant life in scroll and foliate cartouches. Shiny glaze with pigment colors of green, yellow, blue and white. Flared rims with bulbous body and flaring base. Backsides are painted with "1734", however no other markings found. Each apprx 14-1/4"H x 10"W, at shoulder.

Pretty porcelain inkwell with shiny robin's egg blue glaze. Circular inkwell has gilt bronze banding around base and opening. Lid is also gilt bronze with a leafy design and an acorn shaped finial. Inside is glass ink container. Bottom reads MP Sevres in black stamp. Measures apprx 4"H x 4-1/2"D.

Porcelain coffee set with images of maidens or courting couples with putti surrounded by borders of pink and yellow rose blossoms. Hand applied gold overlay embellished with incised scrolls and raised dots. Bottoms marked with green Rosenthal crown stamp, Selb-Bavaria, and overglaze dark blue symbol of Dresden. Tray apprx 19-1/4"T x 13-1/2"W, cups apprx 2-1/2"D x 1-1/2"T, saucers apprx 4-1/4"D, sugar bowl apprx 3-1/4"W x 2-1/2"T, creamer apprx 2-1/2"W x 3-1/4"T and coffee pot apprx 3-1/2"W x 5-1/2"T.
