A coronation piece depicting a king standing with hinged cloak, opening to reveal crowning and standing figures. Mounted to a rounded wooden base, ivory is unsigned and apprx 4-5/8"T, with base apprx 6"T. Provenance: Ex-collection of the Archbishop Edward Hoban, Bishop of Cleveland, Ohio.

Large obelisk made of white marble veined with grey. Imposing monument is carved out of many parts. The smooth obelisk sits upon four balls and a square pedestal base out of same marble. Measures apprx 39" x 7-1/2" x 7-1/2".

Lovely carved wood wall cabinet. Front has scrolling design at top and scallops on bottom. Wood is stained dark brown. Door is banded with raised wood and fronted with glass. Inside is lined with vinyl paper and installed with a glass shelf. Comes with tasseled knob that screws into door. Measures apprx 20"H x 7-1/2"W x 15-1/4"L.

"Haystack Pitcher". A quart copper harvest pitcher, bearing a Victorian weights and measures inspector's stamp on the lead customs and excise seal as well as the word QUART stamped upon the neck. Lovely color, a first class period accessory. Apprx 7" tall.

Large ethnographic hammered copper pot with large aged iron handles on either side. The brackets for the handles are heart shaped. The handles and interior of the pot are distressed. Apprx 11" H x 17" W.

563. Lot of Four Victorian Walking Sticks


Lot includes four metal tipped wooden walking sticks. First of lot is a blunt silver metal tipped stick made of dark wood. Tip has simple hand tooled designs. Measures apprx 30-1/2". Second stick is tipped with a flat knobbed shape of a dark silver metal decorated with raised designs of flowers. Measures apprx 34-1/2". Third, is a gold colored knob tipping a black painted wooden rod. Designs featured are intricate and top bears inscription: Presented to G.H. Ward by his friends, Jan. 2nd 1879. Measures apprx 32-1/2" Last stick carries a cane tip in red-gold metal decorated with scrolling shapes that appear vaguely Eastern. Measures apprx 35-1/2".

A low karat gold handle and tip with foliate pattern, inscribed "Presented to W.H. Dabis by the Cambrian Glee Society of Denver Colorado, January 1st, 1891. With oak and walnut velvet lined case, overall apprx 17-1/4"L. Baton apprx 15-1/4".

A lot consisting of two pair tall, decorative candle sticks and a candle snuffer. One pair features a squarish base (apprx 3-1/2" across), three knops and stands apprx apprx 9-3/4" tall. The other, has a round drip base (apprx 4-1/2" across), four knops and stands apprx 8-3/4" tall. All have the letter W on bottom. Also included is an apprx 16" long brass candle snuffer.

Garden wall fountain made out of cast iron. Fountain has been painted a cream color. Lion's mouth has a hole from which water spills. Framing him are ornate, Rococco scrolling ornaments. Basin of fountain is an exaggerated shell shape with five full lobes. Measures apprx 21"H x 32"W.

Lovely handled nickel vessel. W.M. F. stands for Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik Germany, a popular art nouveau goods manufacturer. Features a design of a young woman with outstretched arms reaching for flowers. Lines are typical nouveau flowing curves. Liner fits inside decorated holder. Bottom stamped with company insignia and no. 331. Measures apprx 4-1/2"H x 7"W x 18"L.

569. Five Physician Panels, Probably English, circa Late 19th Century


Set of five entertaining medical plaques carved from walnut wood. First panel shows a woman having her heart examined, second depicts a man having his tooth extracted, third is of a woman wearing a bonnet carrying her chamber pot, fourth is of a man in excruciating intestinal paint, and fifth shows a doctor examining a sphinx-like figure. Each panel is executed in medium relief in a oval space with framing corners. Carving style is folk. Each panel measures apprx 15-1/4"W x 13-1/2"L.
