563. Lot of Four Victorian Walking Sticks
Lot includes four metal tipped wooden walking sticks. First of lot is a blunt silver metal tipped stick made of dark wood. Tip has simple hand tooled designs. Measures apprx 30-1/2". Second stick is tipped with a flat knobbed shape of a dark silver metal decorated with raised designs of flowers. Measures apprx 34-1/2". Third, is a gold colored knob tipping a black painted wooden rod. Designs featured are intricate and top bears inscription: Presented to G.H. Ward by his friends, Jan. 2nd 1879. Measures apprx 32-1/2" Last stick carries a cane tip in red-gold metal decorated with scrolling shapes that appear vaguely Eastern. Measures apprx 35-1/2".

A lot consisting of two pair tall, decorative candle sticks and a candle snuffer. One pair features a squarish base (apprx 3-1/2" across), three knops and stands apprx apprx 9-3/4" tall. The other, has a round drip base (apprx 4-1/2" across), four knops and stands apprx 8-3/4" tall. All have the letter W on bottom. Also included is an apprx 16" long brass candle snuffer.

Garden wall fountain made out of cast iron. Fountain has been painted a cream color. Lion's mouth has a hole from which water spills. Framing him are ornate, Rococco scrolling ornaments. Basin of fountain is an exaggerated shell shape with five full lobes. Measures apprx 21"H x 32"W.

569. Five Physician Panels, Probably English, circa Late 19th Century
Set of five entertaining medical plaques carved from walnut wood. First panel shows a woman having her heart examined, second depicts a man having his tooth extracted, third is of a woman wearing a bonnet carrying her chamber pot, fourth is of a man in excruciating intestinal paint, and fifth shows a doctor examining a sphinx-like figure. Each panel is executed in medium relief in a oval space with framing corners. Carving style is folk. Each panel measures apprx 15-1/4"W x 13-1/2"L.
