308. Dinner Plate (English, Davenport, circa 1825-1835)
Beautiful William IV porcelain plate decorated in the Sevres manner on a white ground with gilt geometric centre set with gilt foliage, and with five panels decorated in very dark aubergine,lavishly gilded in a vine and leaf design. Border is raised gilt ribbon design. Marked on bottom Davenport in a ribbon above an anchor in faded brownish-gold. Other marks include the pattern number 446, in red, and the gilder's number 4. Measures apprx 9" in diameter

309. Cup and Saucer, English, circa 1825
In the Greek style, possibly Ridgeway or Minton, printed in pink with pastoral scenes of grazing and resting cows, both bordered inside with a single plain band and a hand-painted ring in the ermine design, executed in pink luster. The bowl of the cup measures apprx 2-1/2"H x 3-3/4"D. Diameter of the saucer is apprx 5-1/2". Verso of saucer marked with decorator number, 515, in pink.

310. Double Handled Vase (French, late 19th Century)
Large Tapestry vase. Matte finish to porcelain to appear like tapestry cloth. Decoration is of flowers and leaves in autumnal colors with gold highlighting. Double handles have smooth finish. Teardrop shaped body sits on a round base. Very similar to pieces that the Royal Bonn Porcelain Company was making circa 1890. Bottom is stamped "France" along with other illegible markings. Apprx 15"T x 9"W, at girth.

Decorated with three raised stylized flowers. Flowers extend up the height of the pot. Background glaze color is dark olive, interior is lilac, and flowers are ochre and white. Pot has flared base, semi-bulbous body and very flared rim. Measures apprx 11-1/2"H x 12"D. Bottom stamped with numbers 1268/1.

312. Herend Madonna and Child, Hungary, circa 1940
Large porcelain Madonna and Child figurine. Based on a Late Gothic wooden statue of the Madonna from Toporec in today's Slovakia. The Madonna wears a regal crown and is draped in flowing robes. Both she and the Christ Child hold fruit, and the Christ Child gives a benediction sign. The statue is entirely glaze in simple white. Bottom is marked with blue "Hand Painted Herend" stamp. Statue stands apprx 22"H.
