166. A Lot Including an Engraving and an Etching Proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Paintings and Drawings Society of the Cleveland Museum of Art. Lot includes two framed prints, both under glass. The first is "The Adirondack Woods" after a painting by J.M. Hart. The engraving was done by R. Hinshelwood and published by D. 176. Rufino Tamayo (Mexican, 1899-1991) Profile of a Woman. Limited edition lithograph on paper, framed. Tamayo was a contemporary of Diego Rivera, was one of the most well know Mexican artist of the 20th century. As well as a painter, he was a prolific print maker interested in creating prints that possessed the same kinds of volume, textures and depth as his paintings. This a wonderful lithograph of an expressionist woman's profile and torso. She and the stylized line to the left side are in medium oranges while the tangled background is forest green.
