Unsigned, this colorful watercolor painting on a fibrous paper shows a procession through the mountains. Characters appear to be royal with attendants and pets. Image has a surround, paper mat and is displayed in an early 20th century frame of painted wood, carved like bamboo at corners with gold details. 600. Pair of Paintings of Court Life, Japanese, circa Late 18th/Early 19th Century
Lovely pair of paintings on paper depicting court life, framed and under glass. Figures sit on a pagoda near a dock beneath gold-leaf clouds raining down sliver-leaf precipitation. All four figures wear flowing robes with highly detailed patterns. Paintings are possibly trimmed as images appear to be abbreviated. Framed with double mats of gold and sage colors and striped gold painted wood frames. Overall items measure apprx 14-3/4"L x 13-1/4"W.

604. Chin Lung Plate & Rice Bowl
Set includes two hand-painted blue and white pieces of Chinese porcelain. The first is a dinner-sized plate circa 1860. In the center, a boy offers a fish to a gardening woman while birds fly around. A floral and butterfly boarder surrounds the scene. Plate measures apprx 10-1/4" in diameter. Rice bowl interior shows a seated figure holding a bowl while two pretty women situated in a landscape decorate the exterior. Stamp of artist is on bottom. Bowl measures apprx 2-1/2"H x 5" D.
