| 287. Bronze Figure of Chung Kuei (circa 20th Century)
This is an image of protective spirit, demon slayer, Shoki, or Chung Kuei as known in China. Figure is hollow due to casting technique and bronze is roughly 1/4" thick. The seated figure wears a diadem of flames and holds his long beard in his hand as he reads, with furred brow, a small scroll that he holds in his hand. He wears a robe decorated with a dragon pattern over a suit of armor. Measures apprx 19-1/2" H. 125/175 Sold $103.50 back to catalog |
