| 166. A Lot Including an Engraving and an Etching
Proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Paintings and Drawings Society of the Cleveland Museum of Art. Lot includes two framed prints, both under glass. The first is "The Adirondack Woods" after a painting by J.M. Hart. The engraving was done by R. Hinshelwood and published by D. Appleton & Co. in New York. The scene is of a landscape with deer resting by the side of a stream. With off-white mat and black frame, print measures apprx 14" x 12-1/4". Second item is a signed etching, "Evensong" by B.G. Mathews. Shows a night-time church procession executed in fine hatch marks. With off-white mat and thin black frame entire piece measures measures apprx 20" x 16". 100/200 Sold $115.00 back to catalog |
