121. John Boydell (English, 1719-1804)

"Jacob Burying Labans Images". Unframed steel engraving printed on paper, after the painting by Sebastian Bourdon. John Boydell was a well known print seller who employed some of the best English print makers of his time. The name of the printer, R. Earlem Lecit, can be see on lower right (Richard Earlem). Bottom reads "In the Cabinet at Houghton" as well as information about the print. Measures apprx 27" x 19". Backed with posterboard, covered with protective plastic.
