350. Rookwood Soap Dish, American

Fish-shaped soap dish. The Cincinnati based Rookwood Company was started by Maria Longworth Nichols in 1880 as an amateur pottery club. Their pottery is famous for its range of full, rich colors and textures and superior glazes. This dish is glazed a shiny sea-blue. Bottom bears company stamp, and L 6392. Measures apprx 5-3/4"L x 5"W.
