| 571. Vintage Hat Form, American, circa 19th Century
Wooden hat form. Would have been used as a tool for hat makers or else a hat stand. Form is door-knobbed shaped. Made in five parts. Center and base have pegs for other four pieces to fit onto. O marks on pieces help designate where each piece fits. Pasted inside side pieces are fragments of old newspaper and drawings. Base marked with word "back" and numbers 22, 53, 82 and the company name: Capitol Hatologe, N.Y. Measures apprx 9"H x 8"W. 100/200 Sold $304.75 back to catalog |
