Proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Paintings and Drawings Society of the Cleveland Museum of Art. Set of four framed colored etchings under glass. Each scene depicts some sort of roguish adventure from grave robbing to pub brawls to highway robbery. Pailthorpe is best know for his illustrations of Charles Dickens (1812-1870) novels. Each illustration is signed on the bottom. Framed in cream mat with oval opening and simple brown wood frame. Items measure apprx 9" x 8". 50/150 Sold $40.25 back to catalog |
