554. A Pietra Dura Wall Plaque, Italian, circa Late 19th/Early 20th Century

Pietra Dura is an Italian technique of inlaying semi-precious stones, such as agate or quartz, in a variety of colors, to create pictures or patterns. This plaque is of a pink rose with green stem against a black background. Measures apprx 4"W x 6"L. With fancy carved wooden painted gold frame entire piece measures apprx 6"W x 8"L.
