Lovely wood inlaid jewelry box from the workshop of Galley, Ecole de Nancy. Lid features beautiful marquetry work of a provincial scene with cottages and flowers surrounded by bouquets. Edges have black banding. Sides have scrolling motifs and front has a wreath around key hole escutcheon. Interior has three compartments and is lined with aqua velvet. Lid has a beveled mirror set inside. Entire box sits on four slightly raised feet. Comes with key. Measures apprx 4-1/2"H x 9"W x 14-1/4"L.
