Leaf two from a lavishly decorated Persian manuscript, "Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr ibn Sulaiman al-Gazuli". A view from above the walled city of Mecca with turrets on a gold background. Verso has writing in black and red surrounded by a border of handwriting and a small border of gold vine. Pigment, ink and gold on paper, apprx 9" x 5-3/4" (149 x 231 mm).
