| 692. Matthias Seutter (German 1678-1757)
"Scania, Blekingia et Hallandia", engraved map with original color, circa 18th century. The highly detailed cartouche at center top is uncolored in order to emphasize the elaborately detailed illustrations for which German maps are especially prized. A second cartouche is at upper right with figure and globe is also uncolored. A detailed larger view within a painted border is at lower right. Impression apprx 19-1/2" x 22-3/4", overall paper apprx 20-5/8" x 24". Seutter was the official imperial geographer of Charles VI. 300/500 Sold $172.50 back to catalog |
