London: Longmans, Green, Longman and Roberts, 1860 (second issue?). A presentation copy from the Kensington School, presented by the Head Master as a second place prize in 1874. Full olive green calf, the spines with raised bands gilt ruled, the compartments decorated with tooling, red morocco lettering label gilt, volume numbers gilt within green leather compartments, marbled endpapers and page edges. Front board decorated with school emblem in gilt, interior front board has applied school bookplate. No map or chromolithographs, however many illustrations.
