Elegant library desk made of oak wood with three drawers. Table has cross-arched legs with applied gilt on rondel bull's eye and tapering bracket stretcher with a center knop. Top surface is inset with black leather with a patterned, gilded band around edges. Manufacturer unknown. Desk measures apprx 29" H x 28" W x 52" L.

240. Single Chair with Needlepoint Covering, circa 20th Century
Wooden chair has canned panel back set into a light wood frame (possibly maple), finished with a decorative stain. Top of back flares out as four legs slightly taper. Seat is needle pointed in a Matisse Jazz pattern with yellow, brown and white leaves and red fruit shapes against a black background, piping is black vinyl. Chair measures apprx 36-1/2"H x 18"L x 19-1/2"W.

241. Dragon Bench, circa late 19th/ early 20th Century
Elaborate bench has designs of fierce dragons amid swirling clouds. Both arms as well as top of backboard and chest on bottom feature these open mouthed creatures with mother of pearl eyes. Bench back has stippled back ground and a motif of roosters. Bench seat has a Greek Key patterned trim. Seat is hinged and can be lifted to reveal storage area beneath. Designs are carved in medium relief. Lower part of bench has Art Nouveau carvings of Iris' on front and sides. Measures apprx 40-1/2"H x 23"W x 48-1/2"L.

242. French Sideboard, circa 1870
Elegant sideboard features two upper cupboards set with six beveled-mirrors, two drawers and two lower cabinets. Back-splash is also set with beveled mirror. Top of piece is crowned with carved ribbon and low relief carvings of swags and flowers. Hardware, such as locks for cupboards and cabinets and pulls for drawers, are brass. Measures apprx 7'-6"H x 1'-7" W x 4'L.
