"Still Life". Oil on canvas, signed lower right and inscribed on verso, not framed, canvas apprx 20" x 24-1/4". Deike was a graduate of the Cleveland School of Art in 1912. She was also one of two of the founders of the Women's Art Club of Cleveland of the same year and is considered one of the best female artists of the "Cleveland School".

Palette and brush strokes are energetic, and slightly evocative of the German Expressionist School. Signed in red on lower right and possibly dated '46. Painting measures apprx 23-1/4" x 17-1/4".
