440. Hand Painted Porcelain Cat Container with Lid
Early Meissen copy with a Samson mark. Sweet feline face is made from porcelain and has hand painted grey fur and facial features. Bottom hinged lid has a floral motif etched in brass. Inside is hollow and marked with blue crossed "swords". Measures apprx 2-1/2"H.

441. A Collection of Quimper French Pottery
Lot includes 23 pieces of tableware. All pieces are tin-glazed and hand painted. Sweet, folk art set features 8 plates (of differing sizes), 4 large bowls, 4 small bowls, two tea cups, one handled bowl, two candle holders, one egg cup and one sugar bowl. Blue and yellow set has decorations of country people and flowers. Each piece hand signed on bottom with Henriot Quimper, model number and France. Pieces (candlesticks) that are marked with HB come from the Grand Maison HB. Sizes range from 2-1/4"H x 2"D (egg cup) to 2-3/4"H x 5-1/2"D (large bowl) to 9"D (large plate). Also includes collector book to help with piece identification and overall history of the collection.

442. Limoges Fish Plates
Lot includes seven porcelain plates with transfer decoration and hand coloring. Each plate features a scalloped rim with a fish in the center and three aquatic plants around edge. Rims are gilt. Each plate varies slightly in positioning of plants and/or type of fish. Bottoms have pink Limoges, French China T&V stamp, green Limoges Depose anchor stamp and a pink stamp from Hurd Mellen & Hewes Hartford Conn. Each plate measures apprx 9"D.

Matching set includes four tiny tea cups with accompanying saucers. Each piece features transfer decoration with hand detailing pattern of mauve violets. The saucers have wavy rims with gilt. Pretty hand painted, porcelain bowl. The Von Schierholz Porcelain Company is located in Plaue, Germany. Bowl sits up off of table, borne by four sweet putti. Rococco revival bowl has hand built floral clusters on each of the four sides and painted flowers on interior. Gilt rim is wavy. Reads Made in Germany with company stamp and decorator's number 13. Impressive three piece set comprised of soup tureen, ladle and liner. T. Furnival & Sons was an English China company established in 1851. Set features purple transfer design of Oriental themes such as fans, and cherry blossoms as well as architectural shapes as seen in the handles foot and finial. Tureen and liner are of an overall oval shape. With lid, tureen measures apprx 10"H x 8-3/4"W x 15"L. Ladle measures apprx 11"L and liner, apprx 10-1/2" W x 14-1/2"L.
