"Le Cardinal Mercier Protège La Belgique". Large lithographic poster on paper, framed under glass. Poster displays imposing figure of the Belgian cardinal in iconic pointed cap and curled staff. Most of the image is in black and white with the exception of the cardinal's robe which is colored orange. The background is filled with swirling lines and a crowd of people. Item is titled on bottom and signed and dated, 1916, on lower right corner. Measures apprx 41-1/2"H x 27-1/2"W. With simple wooden frame, apprx 45-1/2"H x 31-1/2"W.
