196. Fred Claude Rodewald (American b. 1923) "Parisian Street Scene". Silkscreen on paper, framed under glass. Cartoonish view depicts daily French life in late 1950's. Among the characters, one can spot a drunk sailor, a woman carrying flowers and a man riding his bicycle on the cobblestone street. Rodewald is best know for his illustrations of "pin-up" beauties. Appears as if drawn in pastels and white and blue paints and signed on lower right corner. 2nd folio is Georges Braque's "À Varengeville" on cream colored paper and depicts a somber landscape featuring a boat, huts and a green sea; signed lower left.
