294. Ornate Gilt Wall Mirror, French, mid 19th Century
Rococo mirror frame from carved wood backing with composite plaster and gold leaf features an irregular oval shape. Frame is decorated with scrolling lines and floral elements of fern fronds and blossoms, in high relief. A chubby Cupid sits with bow and arrows, on top left. Glass insert is hand beveled to follow lines of frame. Measures apprx 54"H x 32"W.

Gilt metal frame with curved prongs sprouting from central column, near top, hung with round and tears-drop shaped prisms. Three piece garniture clock set is made from tan colored marble accented with black marble. The pair of garnitures have tiered square bases with rounded upper rims. Each garniture has a cement base and is accented with with black rondels in which floral and scrolling designs are incised. Garnitures measure apprx 10-1/2"H x 5"W. Matching clock has a pierced brass opening on back side which opens to reveal inner works. Interior is stamped with the numbers 328 and 77. Matching clock has black and gilt accents.
