Image depicts a fierce black stallion biting the neck of a frightened white horse in an ominous setting. Both horses rear up as the nighttime background swirls around them. Palette and brush strokes are energetic, and slightly evocative of the German Expressionist School. Signed in red on lower right and possibly dated '46. Painting measures apprx 23-1/4" x 17-1/4".
