Measures apprx 3-1/4" x 5"W. 2) Printed card with chromolithograph scene of two small figures in a landscape. Poem entitled "Accepted Love". Border of lace cut paper embellished with gilt. Measures apprx 4"H x 2"W. 3) Small Valentine made by Meek and sold by Taft has lace paper boarder decorated with paper disks and flora scraps. Center reveals a little boy and a snow man and opens to show a verse with the title "Think of Me"...
4) Lace cut paper in pink and silver frames an image of a young Bacchus with harvest fruits. 5) Lace cut paper cover bears a round scrap embellished with gilt ink and a central heart shape that can be lifted to reveal "I Love You". Interior holds brightly printed poem called "Love's Mystery". 6) Lacy card cover is backed with orange, purple and blue paper and decorated with a flower and heart scrap. Interior has a poem printed in green ink called "Offering of the Heart". Made by Berlin and Jones. 7) "Pop-up" doily decorated with silver ink and backed with red paper scraps sits above an embossed lavender card. Through the filigree one can see the interior printed poem entitled "Love". 8) Lace cut paper features a mythological scene backed with green and orange paper. Second layer has two tiny book scraps reading "forget me not" and "tribute of love". Interior bears a small printed poem. 9) Lace cut paper frame on embossed cardboard backing decorated with a scrap reading "Forget me not", a banner bearing the word "Sincerity" and an image of a cupid. 10) Valentine features a pink lace-cut cover embellished with floral scraps and "Do you Love Me". 11) Lace cut paper cover is backed with spots of red and decorated with scraps of flowers, a boar and a central robin glued to textured violet paper. Blue interior bears a poem called "Hope". 12) Embossed cover, edged with pink, features a paper doily decorated with scraps of flowers, cupid, "Unchanging Love" and "In Love Believe Me". Interior has a printed poem entitled "Joy". 13) Tiny card has a lace- cut cover in pink and silver with a floral scrap reading "Forget Me Not". Interior is blank. 14) Lace cut paper cover features a design of a courtly couple and backed with green and purple and embellished with a book scrap reading "I am yours, and thou art mine". Interior has a hand written note addressed "To Ruth". 15) Embossed Valentine cover with pink edges is backed with spots of red and blue paper and embellished with pretty scraps. Interior bears printed poem, "Affection". 16) Valentine features a "pop-up" gilt lace-cut frame revealing an illustration of a couple and the shape of a church. Interior is blank. 17) Printed Valentine features five owls with parasols and the greeting "To my Valentine". Sides pull out to reveal a poem. Addressed to "Fannie Oliver" in graphite.
