615. 16 Valentine Post-Cards, early 20th Century

Collection of 16 Valentine Post-Cards. Front images include Cupids, doves, children, and violets. Cards were printed in either Germany, England, or New York. Four cards are post marked from locations such as Portland, OR; Cleveland, OH; and Titusville, PA with dates ranging from 1904-1911. Most dates are indicated. Many cards are made out to a Robert Dixen, and few of them have actual messages. Included in lot are two "Letter card" post cards which display a 3-D scene when opened. Fist shows a couple surrounded by flowers holding a sash of tissue paper hearts. Second shows a bouquet of "pop-up" flowers with a printed message of "Best Wishes" and a hand written "and Loving Greeting". Cards measure apprx 5-1/2"H x 3-1/2"W.
