1) Valentine features a paper doily set over a blue and white embossed card. Through an oval aperture one can see a chromolithograph portrait of a young girl. Front is embellished with scraps of geranium leaves, "Truth" and small segments of blue velvet ribbon. Interior has printed poem entitled "My Destiny". Measures apprx 7"H x 4-1/2"W. 2) Small card is made from shiny blue paper with a doily backed with red and orange framing an image of a little girl. Interior has a poem called "Pets" Measures apprx 4-1/2"H x 3"W. 3) Lace cut paper has a middle aperture covered with yellow gauze and framed by a painted foil scrap. Interior shows a small framed butterfly with a tiny printed poem. Verso bears a hand written greeting. Measures apprx 7"H x 4-3/4"W. 4) Ornate cover has double lace cut paper layers, one with gilt, and Rococo details like a cherub and shell. Interior is blank. Measures apprx 7"H x 4-3/4"W. 5) Fold-out Valentine features a design of shaking hands, pair of Cupids, a basket of flowers, and a chain of tissue paper hearts. Verso has a "Printed in Germany" Stamp. Measures apprx 6-3/4"H x 3-3/4"W. 6) A second fold-out Valentine displays three printed layers of images including a little gilt in a heart with the words "A Token of Affection" and a little boy playing a horn. Verso has stamp: "Printed in Germany". Measures apprx 8-1/2"H x 6"W.
