Hallmarked with Cyrillic letters for M.P., Pastukhov (Postnikova-Loseva # 997) and with the town mark of St. Petersburg on the interior of each half. The exterior with a stippled gold washed background and four blue enameled beaded borders, with sections of pastel enameled flowers in between. The enamel work is very fine. The interior has a gold wash. The egg measures approx. 2-3/4"L.
