233. A Pair of Russian Guilloche Enamel Perfumers, late 19th Century

Clear cut crystal containers with sterling silver necks and lids with evidence of a gold wash. Tops have clear blue enamel over a guilloche ground with delicate gold foil laurels and swags in the enamel. Necks have two thin band of same enamel, sans foil. Both jars have tiny stoppers and silver is hallmarked with an "S" in an oval cartouche, Russian assayer's mark (unknown), and unknown town hallmark and "925" in an oval cartouche. This most likely was produced for export. Each apprx 4-1/2"T x 3" at girth.
