"Parisian Street Scene". Silkscreen on paper, framed under glass. Cartoonish view depicts daily French life in late 1950's. Among the characters, one can spot a drunk sailor, a woman carrying flowers and a man riding his bicycle on the cobblestone street. Rodewald is best know for his illustrations of "pin-up" beauties. The painting is signed and titled (illegibly) on the bottom. Measures apprx 19"H x 24"W. With mat and black frame, overall measurement is 24-1/2"H x 29-1/2"H. 100/200 Sold $120.75 back to catalog |
