| 567. Letter by A. Edward Newton, June 1928
A typed letter by American essayist, bibliophile, and author Alfred Edward Newton (1863-1940) to Boies Penrose , dated June 30th, 1928. The letter descusses the contribution of a Caxton to a library, the finished of a print room and book donation, followed by a campy closing, stating "I cannot close this letter without suggesting that it was rather mean of you to go abroad just as we were begining to get aquinted with each other." Typed on Old Hamshire water marked paper, signature is correct and in black ink, paper apprx 10-5/8" x 8-1/8".
